U.S. PlusIridium phones have a 12-digit international number for receiving calls. Calls made to this 12-digit number will not use your minutes or be billed to you. However, the caller will need to dial internationally and will pay on average $4.00 to $6.00 a minute. U.S. Plus, adds a U.S. phone number to your account just like a cellular phone. Calls made to this U.S. number will be billed to the satellite phone at the same rate as outgoing calls and if you have prepaid minutes, they can used as well. SatellitePhone.com is the only company nationwide to allow this flexibility! U.S. Plus is ideal for emergency use or disaster preparedness as well. In the event of an emergency, being able to call the satellite phone immediately and easily is vital. Since many cellular, business and home phones have international calling blocked, you would first need to contact your phone company to add international calling before being able to contact your Iridium phone. IRIDIUM PREPAID BASIC CARDS
Prepaid Basic Card Policy: Subsequent recharges extend the expiration date of remaining minutes by the validity period of the recharge up to a maximum of 24 months. If a zero balance remains on the prepaid card for 90 days, the card will become permanently inactive and a new card must be purchased. No call detail available. Minutes cannot be replaced in the event of a lost, stolen, or damaged prepaid card. Billing is in 20 second increments. All rates, terms and conditions are subject to change.
